So I needed some lineart...

So Freux, I hope you don't mind, but I needed some line art to try out a new coloring style, and I just couldn't resist.



Supposedly this technique makes skin tones look a lot more realistic, and I'm really satisfied with the result. Shazam I say! So life's been interesting, my computer has crashed again, my cellphone has been lost in a lake, (sorry if people have been trying to reach me, :P) And I just now got over a wicked plague that has been rampaging around Manhattan. Fun times no? So hopefully, I'll be back in action within the next few days, the fine fine people at T-Mobile have informed me that my new cell phone should be ready to go by friday, but how why it takes so long to swap out a SIM card I'll never know.

Guh, oh well. Expect me to be back in action soon kids, this is just a li'l reminder that I'm still part of this world, just a little cut off from it. ;D

See how long it takes me to do anything. I've had these around for ages and on my hd for like a month and I'm just now posting them. There're actually a ton more, but I don't feel like scanning them. So there.

Ok, so here is what I know-

I know that we're awesome. But you guys knew that already.

So here's whats up. Apparently, as said earlier, DD is scaling back it's con's this year. But, after talking to our lover-ly Carly, apparently MM has a table if they want it. Personally, I say fuck yeah. Here's the deal tho, I gotta make it to this thing, because I have a date. And it would be very VERY rude of me to stand a lady up like that. Sorry, but I'm not a punk like that ;}. So, the big question, who's all making this shindig? Do we have an official roll call yet, because I don't think DD is gonna help us much here. We're on our own for this one I think gents, so lets get this rapped up as soon as possible, as tickets are very expensive, and only getting more so.

And if we decide to opt out on this one, Kris and I will just have to schedule something else. We were thinking mexico. Hey, if you've got a passport, use it right? Muahahah!

Not Quite Dead...

Rumors of my death are mostly exaggerated.

So, yeah. I've been MIA for a while. I'm going to be MIA for a while still. 2008 started out like a shit-storm of disappointment and misfortune. My car died, my sister had to go into surgery, and my apartment was broken into. Among the stolen loot was all my computer equipment (including my scanner and external harddrive)and two of my most precious guitars. At the moment, I'm writing this at the library. I've been dropping about $50 a day at Kinko's so I can use their scanner and photoshop to rescan, re-edit, and re-letter roughly 120 pages of The Path to meet my Feb 3rd deadline with my publisher.

With the exception of sneaking on AIM at work, I won't be on-line all that much...if at all. That does NOT, however, give you kids a free pass to not update here at MM. This little rag-tag group of rebels and ne'er-do-wells has a real chance to DO something banded together and I have no intention of letting that kind of mojo fall apart. Those of you that sent me pages for the sample book will, unfortunately, have to send them again. Those of you that DIDN'T now have a second chance to do so. Don't waste it.

Seriously, guys. POST stuff. Don't let MM fall by the wayside.

We're far from dead over here in Cleveland. In fact we mentioned MM on our Gigcast interview this week. It should be up Thursday or Friday. I forgot to mention the blogs web adress on the show but maybe we can get that put that in the show notes or something.

If I haven't been posting on here much it is only because I've been working very hard on the Overlord Contest, Night School, my new comic on DD "Cwen's Quest" (www.drunkduck.com/Cwens_Quest) and another new comic I'm trying to get launched called Arc Saga. Plus maybe a photo comic once I get a memory stick for my new camera....really just because got a new camera and it only seems logical that I should make a comic with it. It is really the only logical course of action.

Oh yea and I totally got married.

If someone has an idea to keep MM more active I'm all for it.

FINALLY FINISHED

I finished my 6 pages tonight. It was a 2 day marathon of sketching, scripting, inking, coloring, backgrounds, shading, small tweaks and overall checks that allowed me to finish.

Then again, I could have just started a few weeks ago and avoided this whole caffeine-induced battle with time.

Anyway, I guess i'll put up my little Bio picture so you guys can get a sneak peek at what I sent to riot.
